The Weir Group PLC today announces the impact of the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on its 2004 results previously prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the UK (UK GAAP).

Finance Director Chris Rickard and Chief Executive Mark Selway will host a presentation of the restated results via a conference call on 1 July 2005 at 1030 a.m. The slides for the conference can be downloaded here.

No new information will be given on current trading. The interim results announcement for The Weir Group PLC is scheduled for Thursday 18 August, 2005.
