Divisional Managing Director
Based Madison, USA. Aged 47. Appointed divisional managing
director in November 2001. An MBA, Scot worked in the automotive
industry for 18 years, with companies such as Van Dresser
Corporation, General Motors and Britax. Within Britax, Scot held a
number of positions including marketing director, managing director
of Britax Geco and latterly regional managing director for the
Americas. One of his Britax Geco factories won 'European Factory of
the Year' recognition from L'Insead.
Steve Noon
Weir Oil &
Gas Divisional Managing Director
Based Fort Worth, USA. Aged 45. Appointed
divisional managing director in March 2009. Steve joined in
2007 as president Weir SPM and since 2008 has been managing
director Upstream for the Oil & Gas Division. An MBA,
CPA, Steve has worked with several multi-nationals including
Schefenacker Vision Systems, James Hardie Industries, and The Toro
Company. Before joining Weir, he held the position of president
Schefenacker Vision Systems, North America. Steve’s
career has included positions as marketing director and finance
director and he has experience in acquisitions and divestments,
integration, delivering growth and making significant operational
change.
Phil Clifton
Weir Power &
Industrial Divisional Managing Director
Based East Kilbride, UK. Aged 50. Appointed divisional managing
director in September 2004, Phil has a BSc Honours in Engineering
from Imperial College and also holds an MBA from Cranfield
University. Phil joined from AWG PLC, the parent company of Anglian
Water, where he was responsible for government services and group
business development. Prior to AWG, he was managing director of
Reyrolle Ltd., an international business in the industrial power
group of Rolls-Royce PLC having worked in various areas of Rolls
Royce after leaving university.
