Weir Group announces appointment of
Group Finance Director
The Weir Group PLC announces the appointment of Jon Stanton as
Group Finance Director. He will join in the Spring
following completion of existing client commitments.
Jon (42) joins from Ernst & Young where he has worked since
1988. He has been a partner in the London office since 2001
with lead responsibility for the audit of a number of FTSE 100
multinational clients, including Invensys, Hanson and
InterContinental Hotels Group. He has significant corporate
finance experience, including mergers and acquisitions, and has
been involved in a number of restructuring and business process
improvement projects. Jon has extensive international
experience including two years based in Ernst &Young's Detroit
office.

skills, extensive background in relevant sectors and international
experience will be of great benefit to the Group and its continued
development."
There are no other details to be disclosed under Section 9.6.13
of the Listing Rules.
As previously announced, the company will be issuing its year
end trading statement tomorrow (Tuesday 12 January 2010).
